Extension Service

We offer a professional extension service for a nominal fee for people with larger necks or people who would prefer the necklace to sit a little lower on their neck.

In the two illustrations, the 'before' picture shows a typical short extension chain on a necklace and the 'after' picture shows how we can extend the necklace.

We replace the existing fixing/short extension chain with a new length of silver plated curb chain to give you the length you desire. If the original necklace came with an extension chain, we will normally refit the extension chain after inserting the extra required length.

To work out the total length you want, take a piece of string and arrange it to get where you want the top of the necklace to sit.

Carefully measure the string, round it up to the nearest 1/2 inch (or centimetre) and that is the length to select. If you want any extra length to allow for adjustments, please make sure to let us know.

When you order your necklace, just choose the total required length from the drop down list and leave the rest to us! If you have any specific instructions, include a comment when placing the order.

Please note that extended necklaces are not covered by our no quibble 7 day money back guarantee unless they are found to be faulty. We cannot refund your money if the length turns out to be incorrect so please be extra careful when measuring the size you require.

Certain necklaces cannot be extended because of the style of clasp or the type of chain and in these instances, the service will not be available.
